Animal-welfare auditing at slaughter depends on repeatable observation

Animal welfare at slaughter can only be verified when observations are collected, organised and interpreted reproducibly. Welfair’s in-person auditor course for cattle slaughter is being held in Lleida from 15 to 17 September. The programme includes an introduction to animal welfare and the Welfair system, Welfare Quality protocol measures in slaughter facilities, a practical session in a slaughterhouse, discussion of results, repeatability, and a final examination.
