Broiler-breeder fertility links flock management with future meat supply

Reduced fertility in broiler breeders has become an applied-research priority for USPOULTRY. In a call published on 10 September, the association seeks proposals on how to sustain fertility, hatchability and productivity throughout the breeding cycle. The notice does not present a new scientific result; rather, it sets out a research agenda that shows where the industry sees risks to chick supply.
