Poultry research becomes more valuable when welfare, nutrition and meat quality share one platform

Construction of the Ontario Poultry Research Centre in Elora turns an infrastructure investment into a commitment to research closer to production. The Government of Ontario announced more than CAD 24 million for the centre on 7 October. The facility is intended to support more than 1,500 chicken and turkey producers as well as 500 egg and pullet producers; completion is planned for summer 2028.
