Frozen stocks only become purchasing intelligence when read cut by cut

The latest U.S. cold-storage report confirms that availability of frozen meat has to be read by cut, not only by species. At September 30, total red-meat stocks were 1% below August but 3% above the previous year. Beef inventories were down 1% both month on month and year on year. Total pork stocks also fell 1% during the month, yet stood 9% above their level a year earlier.
