Household meat safety needs situational guidance, not generic advice

A study published in *BMC Public Health* focuses on a particularly sensitive point in household meat safety: the concentrated slaughter, distribution and preparation of meat during Eid al-Adha. The research team surveyed 218 adults in Türkiye about practices from slaughter through consumption. It examined storage, preparation before freezing, thawing and refreezing, cross-contamination prevention and how people assess doneness.
