Origin claims become credible only with a complete chain definition

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported on 30 October that eight additional meat and poultry companies have adopted the voluntary “Product of USA” claim. According to the agency, more than thirty companies have now committed to the nationwide initiative. To use the claim, a product must be born, raised, harvested and processed in the United States.
