Paraná’s poultry exports reinforce the need for regional sourcing intelligence

Paraná confirms its central role in Brazil’s chicken export trade. The state Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply reports that 1.8 million tonnes of chicken meat were exported between January and September 2026. That represents an 18% increase on the same period in 2025; revenue reached US$3.39 billion, up 23.8%.

Comparison with the Brazilian total highlights the concentration of this supply chain. Brazil shipped 4.3 million tonnes of poultry meat in the first nine months, 14% more year on year. Paraná therefore accounts for a substantial share of national volume and expanded faster than the country as a whole. The state release also reports cumulative increases for pork and turkey meat, without turning the different species into one market.

For European importers and international buyers, the news is not an automatic guarantee of uniform availability. Export totals do not reveal which cuts, product formats, certifications, ports or destinations are driving growth. Nor do they replace checks on sanitary requirements, cold-chain logistics and customer-specific approvals.
