Grill-product testing shows quality control extends beyond the sample

Bavaria’s State Office for Health and Food Safety examined 262 grilling products in 2026, including 180 meat-containing products. According to the LGL release, 254 samples—97%—gave no reason for complaint. One pre-packed sample was assessed as already spoiled on sensory grounds, while two further pre-packed products were criticized for labelling deficiencies. In addition, 59 marinated meat samples from beef, pork and poultry were examined microbiologically and sensorially.
