Livestock innovation becomes relevant only when it reaches the meat chain

The SPACE trade fair, held in Rennes from 15 to 17 September, shows why livestock innovation needs to be read from the value-chain perspective rather than through an isolated piece of equipment. In its 40th edition, the event brings together 1,200 exhibitors, including 365 international companies from 40 countries, according to the organiser. The programme lists 100 conferences, animal presentations and competitions, sector-specific visits, and Innov’Space, the award for innovations selected by an expert jury.
